How do I travel to Puerto Viejo?
- Rent a car. It's a 137 miles (220 km.) drive from San Jose. You may also rent a car at Hotel
Kasha

- 5 daily public buses, departing from San Jose at 6 & 10 a.m./ 12, 2 & 4 p.m.. (approx. 4 hrs. trip)
- From 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. public buses every hour to Puerto Limon. We will send you a taxi
or our private shuttle to bring you from Puerto Limon to Hotel Kasha
- 2 public Interbus shuttles pick you up at several San Jose hotels and bring you to Hotel Kasha
- Kasha's private shuttle will pick you up at the Airport or San Jose. It's just $300 round trip.

How much cash should we carry?
If you have booked any of the
All-inclusive
Vacation Packages you will not need cash while on the property.

In Puerto Viejo there's a money/traveler's check exchange office
and also a Costa Rican

What type of clothing is necessary?
Light and informal. Average temperature in this region: 24/C - 75F; Average Humidity:

or at the Deli-snacks Pititas Restaurant just dress casually and enjoy fabulous
cuisine.
What if I get sick?
During your stay Hotel Kasha provides you with 24 hr. medical attention if necessary. There's also a National Clinic nearby and ambulance service.
Is it a safe destination?
You must be cautious when in the village of Puerto Viejo. There are
thieves on the streets. Don't leave valuables unattended at beaches. If
you have a car leave it locked at all times.
